This week’s podcast features the following on-air personalities:
- Bob Somers - SteamPodcast.com
The 1337 C4T is on vacation this week. He’ll return for Episode 8.
We highly recommend you download the the special video version this week. The entire episode is a video demonstration of the Nintendo Wii, and thus won’t make much sense if you can’t see what’s going on.
Can’t see the video? If you have DivX installed that should work fine, or you can download the latest version of XviD from Koepi’s site.
Keep your fan mail, suggestions, and comments coming. The coolest email address on the net is still fans@steampodcast.com.

I saw a video of a guy who snapped his wrist strap while he was swinging. Problem is, he was swinging WAY to hard. Just a simple smooth motion or flick of the wrist will get the job done.

If you didnt already know this then you can get all the codecs in the world for free at free-codecs.com. just download the all in one package, works for me and its easer then going through all the diffrent website to find just that codec for that type of video.
On the wii topic, it would look great with my macintosh

Indeed, it seems that Nintendo borrowed a bit of Apple’s sleek white design.

Still waiting to hear from Ramzy. Once he has his internet issue sorted out I’m sure he’ll contact me.
And don’t worry, we have the most extreme 1337 C4T ever for the next episode…

Hi Si“ and welcome to the steam podcast
This dosnt have anything to do with steam, but like everything it evolves. it started out with steam only news, but then came a little story about other games that never apears on steam. then news on xbox and ps3 etc.
it could actully change name to the gamers podcast. but that would be a to much hazzle, also the wii just released and that is a big story, when something neat happens on steam that will get front page ofcourse

Hi Si, welcome to the podcast community!
To answer your question, this episode has absolutely nothing to do with Steam. Covering exclusively Steam news would lead to a rather boring and slow-moving podcast, so we cover other gaming news and hardware news occasionally as well.
For this episode, one of our regular hosts (Ramzy) was having internet problems, so I just decided to throw up a review video of the Nintendo Wii.
Now that Ramzy’s back and the next-gen console launches are behind us, I think it’s safe to say we’ll be returning to our roots.
