Coming Soon, To A Feed Near You

Wednesday, January 3rd, 2007

Apparently I was a good boy this year, because Santa delivered a 400 GB Western Digital hard drive for Christmas. :)

Ramzy and I have scheduled the next episode to be recorded this weekend. We’re still working on getting some mod teams on the show for interviews, but we’ll make do with what we have.

Expect the next episode to be released sometime this weekend or early next week.

New Gaming Convention Finally Gets A Name

Back in November, IDG World Expo revealed that it would be organizing a Los Angeles-based gaming convention (To fill in for E3). The only problem was it didn’t have a name. That changed today, as the organization revealed that the placeholder name of GamePro Expo had been replaced with the Entertainment for All Expo–a name chosen through a contest. The E for All Expo, as it will be known, takes place at the Los Angeles Convention Center October 18-20.

Gamspy’s Game of the Year comittee named Half-Life 2: Episode 1 as the best PC Action game of 2006. They also awarded it the title of ninth best game overall, including console and portable titles. For comparison, Company of Heroes came it at #2 and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess took the top spot.

This is an exciting mod that puts you in control the Zombies and mixes the RTS and FPS play styles. A team of FPS players tries to complete a list of objectives while the single RTS player controls the Zombies to try to destroy all of humanity. Awesome.
