The Steam Podcast

The Steam Community has finally gone into beta. If you haven’t gotten in on it yet, fire up Steam and click Settings. On the first tab (the Account tab) select The Steam Community from the beta participation box and restart Steam.

Once you’ve set up your profile join the official podcast group:
http://www.steamcommunity.com/groups/podcast

Steam won’t let you make group names or URLs with the word “Steam” in them (lame!) so on the Steam Community we’re just known as “The Podcast”.

I’ll be out of town for a few days, so don’t freak out if I don’t reply to anything immediately. See you in the community!

On the next episode, to be recorded and released this weekend, we’ll be talking to the mod team of Iron Grip: The Oppression. After two years of development, the total conversion mod just went into open beta. You can check it out at their website and download the mod from there.

This may be kind of last minute, but if you, our listeners, have any questions you’d like us to ask the mod team, post them in a comment below. Hurry, you’ve only got about 24 hours before we do the interview!

Episode #001 of the Steam Podcast will be recorded this weekend! I’m also proud to announce that our guest this week will be Will Smith from the SourceForts mod team. After we’ve released the first episode, the show will have a page in the iTunes Music Store as well.
